We need progressive thinking, not backward thought

It's sad to see so many who oppose progress are those who's social identification is so powerful, so locked into the box that they find it infuriating to think that what they're living in is actually wrong. Imagine the "system" as a box. Instead of stepping outside that box and thinking critically about it, they seem to argue that patching the holes in the box is the way to go, but they're not stopping to think whether or not the box itself is wrong; that is, the integrity of the box we live in is inherently broken.

So, what do I suggest?  Well, Sociocyberneering is based on utilizing the scientific method to solve social and environmental problems. Right now scientific studies are applied to the exclusion of overall social concern and only benefits to sustain the monetary/profit system. A perfect example of this would be the pharmaceutical companies. These companies alone create a wealth of jobs, and increase the national GDP of nearly all nations across the globe through profits alone.

Communism, socialism, fascism, capitalism, governance from traditional politics, absolute rulers, "elected" decision makers, monetary economics, and religious theocracy are all privitive experiments that should have died out long ago. In the human journey, using science and technology to improve the lives of all the world's people. To apply these resources, our current technology and knowledge, to providing goods and services in abundance for everybody.

This is a holistic, high-tech, global approach on how to operate this organic "spaceship" we call Earth. It would hence require a Resource Based Economy, doing aay with monetary currency, barter, interest and debt, and currently outmoded systems that do not operate in accordance with natural law, resource availability and the Earth's natural processes. Anythingless is unsustainable, come what may, by cold definition.

We have created this system where we are using all of our resources to create the economic growth to sustain employment and everything else, and simultaneously we're diminishing our resources at a near exponential rate it seems as population continues to grow. Nobody seems to realise that it's an absolute clash, and that eventually we're going to run out of pivotal resources and eventually, at a critical point where those remaining resources can no longer support the population's massive expected consumption, you'll see things begin to dwindle down. We need INTELLIGENT management of the world's resources, not a system pushing masses of products for humanity to consume JUST to increase monetary profits and continue the self-destructive cycle it's in.

So how exactly do we get to this new system? The Zeitgist Movement and Venus Project have presented a compelling idea of a GLOBAL resource based economy managed by a global-scale analytical system accommodating information on all resources of the world. Check back later for my next blog post describing various scenarios which may very well lead to the surfacing of a brand new social system.

Is there a solution?

I've seen a consistent amount of people claiming problems across the globe, plaguing humanity. But all the solutions that seem to be placed forward are promptly shot down as stupid. If you are one of these people, then I implore you to suggest a viable solution to the problems that plague the planet, that is before most of the governments are forced further into debt, as austerity measures are forced into effect, prolonging the agony even further. Please, somebody tell me the shining goal at the end of this road?

For example, the US would be required to hike their taxes to approximately 60-70% in order to sucessfully pay the interest it has on its loan. My question here is: how long will it take the US to bring itself out of debt, actually, let me rephrase that: how long will the GLOBAL austerity measures be required in order to pull the entire planet out of its debt?

my main question here: are these austerity measures and debt reduction programs REALLY going to have any effect?
