I've seen a consistent amount of people claiming problems across the globe, plaguing humanity. But all the solutions that seem to be placed forward are promptly shot down as stupid. If you are one of these people, then I implore you to suggest a viable solution to the problems that plague the planet, that is before most of the governments are forced further into debt, as austerity measures are forced into effect, prolonging the agony even further. Please, somebody tell me the shining goal at the end of this road?
For example, the US would be required to hike their taxes to approximately 60-70% in order to sucessfully pay the interest it has on its loan. My question here is: how long will it take the US to bring itself out of debt, actually, let me rephrase that: how long will the GLOBAL austerity measures be required in order to pull the entire planet out of its debt?
my main question here: are these austerity measures and debt reduction programs REALLY going to have any effect?
